Homeschool Teen Group

On the 10th of November we went to Ten pin Bowling and Rockclimbing with the Homeschool Teen Group.

At Bowling I kept accidently sending my ball of to the left a bit too much so I didnt do too well but it was really fun anyway. Most times I have been bowling I couldnt find a ball the right size because they were all either to big and heavy or too small to fit my fingers into, but this time I found one really easily.

Afterwards as I have said we went Rockclimbing and for the very first time I reached the top of a wall which was great and it was one where you had to go upside down as well so I am very proud

SURFING

Recently we have been having surfing lessons with a with some other homeschoolers at the manly surf school. We took surfing lessons earlier this year as well through term one and a bit of term two.

I really like surfing especially on low tide days (which are every second week) when you can just walk out as far as you are going and the waves are usually very fast. On low tide weeks you can try to do things like switching boards while surfing or riding your board side saddle.

On high tide weeks you can surf propely standing up and turning and trying to jump (even thoughI have never succeded in jumping I still try). On high tide days your arms can get very tired as you have to paddle quite far out with lots of waves coming at you but it is still fun and once you are out it is calm and you can look around and it is very cool and then you catch a wave and you get to go really fast.
