Rifle Shooting

Last Friday we went rifle shooting with homeschool teen group. It was at an indoor shooting range in St Mary's.

We were using Swiss made .22 rifles. The rifles were magazine fed but they could also be breech loaded and each rifle had a sniper scope attached. The guns were set up with stands on benches to make it easier and safer.

Before we started shooting we were all led into a conference room where a man explained how the guns worked and ran through the safety measures of using the guns.

Afterwards we were given earmuffs for safety for our ears and then divided into 3 groups. Each group went in one by one and every body was given five bullets.

Then, using the scope, we aimed at the targets in front of us and fired. I almost got a bullseye ( but not quite) .

After everybody used up their five bullets that group went out of the firing range and the next group came in .

We had another round at the end.

THomas - it was cool to see how you got to shoot with your broken arm. Super fun!
